Clayton Handley

Clayton is the Detector Support Facility Supervisor, bringing over two decades of hands-on experience and leadership to the team. A veteran machinist and tool & die maker, he is known for his relentless drive for innovation, efficiency, and practical problem-solving. With a unique blend of precision, vision, and mentorship, Clayton plays a key role in advancing projects and guiding the future of the shop. Outside of TRIUMF, he is an experienced sailor who finds challenge, freedom, and calm on the water—always charting a course toward discovery and refinement, whether in the lab or at sea.
