Ryan Underwood
Research Assistant
Ryan Underwood is a research assistant specializing in silicon photomultipliers and plastic scintillators, with a focus on developing high-speed detection systems for commercial applications. He has applied this expertise to the design of a neutron spectrometer for General Fusion. Ryan earned his MSc and PhD in physics from Queen’s University, where he conducted dark matter searches with the SuperCDMS and CUTE experiments. His work spans both hands-on laboratory research and data analysis, bridging experimental development and scientific insight.
