International Undergraduate Students
See here for a description of one University of Edinburgh student's experience at TRIUMF.
TRIUMF accepts applications from international undergraduate students each year for a limited number of "Internships" and "On-The-Job-Training" positions. International students applying for positions under this category must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution abroad.
Please visit the Co-op/Summer Student website for details on the undergraduate student jobs at TRIUMF.
Mitacs
The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship gives international undergraduates the opportunity to work on a research project at a Canadian university. In the spring, project descriptions are accepted from professors at Canadian institutions. In the fall, professors are provided with a list of interested students and are they are encouraged to interview and rank the students. Mitacs supports the students' travel costs and help with visa applications so that the students arrive ready to work in the summer. The students work on a 12-week research project of mutual interest in the period of May to September.
Located in over 80 countries, IAESTE is an international student exchange program for full-time students interested in gaining professional job experience abroad and employers interested in hiring international student trainees.
