Here's what our Research Scientists are saying...

"TRIUMF is the place where "science comes to be". While walking in the corridors of the laboratory, I chat with theorists about the existence of new particles of extra dimensions of space; I step into the machine shop, where experiments are designed and built with support from our engineering staff; our computing centre is connected to the world-wide grid of super-computers; finally, in collaboration with hundreds of professional physicists, we look for discoveries in the data. TRIUMF hosts collaborations of scientists dedicated and committed to achieving a common a noble goal: to create and to share knowledge. Not only is TRIUMF the place where world experts are and meet, but it is a laboratory where young researchers are welcome to explore new ideas. Being at the frontier is what makes TRIUMF unique and an exciting place to work."

- Anadi Canepa, Research Scientist

"TRIUMF is a great place to work as a scientist because it has world class accelerators and detectors that enable unique experiments. The lab is run by discerning and supportive managers and staffed by very helpful and highly competent designers, engineers, scientists, and technicians. With everyone working as a team, TRIUMF is able to achieve results that are the envy of much larger labs abroad. Interacting on a daily basis with the staff, from the receptionist to the lab director, is truly a delight."

- Barry Davids, Research Scientist

"It is great to work at Canada's national lab for subatomic physics where we test our understanding of nature on a daily basis and where we get ever close to a new, m ore complete understanding of how the universe works. I enjoy working at the frontier of science with so many motivated people who are connected by a common goal."

- Oliver Stelzer-Chilton, Research Scientist

"At TRIUMF I have the opportunity to work on the biggest, most exciting international experiments, with collaborations from around the globe - but we are still the kind of friendly lab where all the faces in the cafeteria are familiar, and everybody pitches in and helps with projects that aren't necessarily part of their job description, but just need to get done. There are always new challenges and skills to learn, and new opportunities to work with people from different academic, cultural, and professional backgrounds. Every day is different!
