The Management Information Systems group is responsible for computing support in the following areas:
1. Computing support for TRIUMF's Administration, including:
- application and database development
- data analysis and presentation
- administration web server, admin.triumf.ca
- directory services for the TRIUMF site
2. Website development and support, including:
- TRIUMF public web server, www.triumf.info
- web applications and database for the Science Division
- wiki support for TRIUMF departments
- CMS support (using TYPO3) for TRIUMF departments
3. Windows PC client and file/print server support for administration and office users
4. Linux Terminal Server client and server support for administration and office users

Administration Computing
The Administration Computing Group manages the computers used by the Business Office (accounting, purchasing, personnel, stores & receiving, etc.) and by administration PC users. These systems include:
- admin.triumf.ca (an IBM AS/400 Model 720), which is used for MIS database applications, administration web serving, PC file and print serving
- Windows Network domain ADP, used by Administration Windows 2000 PCs
- OS/2 Warp Server domain TOS2, used by Administration OS/2 Warp PCs

Web Access IDs
A Secure Access ID on admin.triumf.ca serves two purposes:
- allows access from non-TRIUMF locations to internal information on this server (no ID/password is needed to access this information from TRIUMF locations);
- allows access to personalized information for the user, from TRIUMF and non-TRIUMF locations (password is always required).
Secure Access IDs are available for:
- Current TRIUMF employees. If you are currently on TRIUMF payroll, you can have your ID and password set up automatically by filling in the "Request Form for Current TRIUMF Employees" below. Your ID will be enabled immediately, and will be valid as long as you continue to be on TRIUMF payroll.
- Other persons affiliated with TRIUMF (account holders, grant holders, experimenters, etc.). Please fill in the "Request Form for non-TRIUMF-Employees below. You will be contacted by email or phone when your ID is set up.
