Sarisha Das is a B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering Student from IIT Indore and a MITACS Globalink Research Intern at TRIUMF. Although from an engineering background, she loves exploring how the universe works and thus has an avid interest in Physics and Astronomy. She is working on the DESCANT detector and analyzing data on beta-delayed neutron emissions for GRIFFIN at TRIUMF. She loves learning new things, and not just in physics, and TRIUMF provides a really collaborative environment where exploring things does not have a fixed domain and spans everywhere from biology to mechatronics. She wants to become an Astronaut someday, but while that happens, she also loves sketching and painting and Vancouver provides a number of breathtaking visuals for her to paint. She also likes to play badminton and pool, apart from, of course, exploring Vancouver :) |
