Long-sought measurement of exotic beta decay in thallium helps extract the timescale of the birth of the Sun |

An international collaboration, including TRIUMF, has succeeded in the measurement of the bound-state beta decay of fully-ionised thallium (205Tl81+) ions at the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung, Darmstadt. The results are published in Nature. |

The NA62 collaboration has announced the ‘unequivocal confirmation’ of a rare and significant interaction: the rare decay of a positive kaon into a positively charged pion and a neutrino-antineutrino pair. |

Coronation Medal awarded to Grace Wong Sneddon |

The King Charles III Coronation Medal was awarded to outstanding individuals in British Columbia during a ceremony with the lieutenant governor this week. TRIUMF's Ombudsperson and EDI resource for the lab, Grace Wong Sneddon, was a recipient for her work as co-chair of the Chinese Canadian Museum Society where she brought voice to the history of Chinese Canadians. |
