The following procedures and/or regulations apply to all users when coming to TRIUMF, and the Visitor Coordinator will be able to clarify the requirements for each category of visitor. Links to all referred to forms or documents can also be found on this web page.

Please note that security access cards are required for access to the TRIUMF site. These are issued by the Visitor Coordinator at reception during business hours between 8:30am and 4:30pm . All Experimenters/Users to TRIUMF will be required to have an access card. Those visitors who will be at TRIUMF in excess of three weeks, or who are on-going or frequently returning, are required to have their picture on the access card. Those who are here for a shorter length of time will not require a photo card, but will instead be issued a plain visitor access card. In order to be issued an access card, all visitors must have viewed the online safety orientation, and completed the Visitor Registration Form authorized by your TRIUMF contact. The Radiation Badge Application Form must also be completed. On arrival at TRIUMF, if the registration form has not been completed, it is available from the Visitor Service Coordinator. Photo access cards are issued every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00pm . On arrival both short-term and long-term visitors will be issued a temporary access card that is also available after hours from the control room. Long-term visitors are to use this card until they have been issued their own personalized access card. PLEASE NOTE: Access cards will not be issued without the appropriate signed authorization on the Access Privelege Form Upon leaving TRIUMF, temporary access cards must be returned to reception, and if leaving after hours, they should be left in a locked drop-off box that is located in the reception area. Cards will be deactivated on your last day at TRIUMF. | |
